I went to see New Moon last night. I was going to go this morning with our Reading Club, but I have practice. It was good. I liked it better than the first one. The ending was really abrupt...How do you have a cliffhanger when most people already know what happens? I think this movie reminded me way more of the Harry Potter movies. There's just so much, that I think it would he hard to understand a lot of the emotions if you hadn't read the book. Yea wolves! Yea vampires! Our first basketball game is Tuesday in Jeff City against Jeff City. Then it will be off to Arkansas for Thanksgiving. Mom is moving back to Illinois this weekend.

New Moon - 2 days! I heart Glee!

Well, I've had a busy busy week. And the fun won't stop! Basketball started this week. We had practice Monday thru Saturday. Tuesday, we didn't have school, but I ended up working all day(some of it working with Michelle). Wednesday morning, I received a text from Nichole asking if we wanted to go to Shakespeare's that night. The catch is Alex and Nichole live in North Carolina. Hecks ya we went! It was great to hang out with them and Marla and Tony and Taina. Thursday night I had Bible study. We are studying certain stories in Luke about people who met Jesus. Friday night we had Dan and Maggie over (and baby JD). It was good to see them. Yesterday, I met Bethany at the market, went to practice, did some shopping (at Old Navy), bought some groceries, went home, rested a teeny-tiny bit, then went to Andy and Erica's for a barbecue. Will and Nina were also there. I made my becoming famous Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes (courtesy of Alton Brown). Today, we have church and small group, and I have grading to do. This is the time of year where I just go, go, go...It'll be nice if there is ever a day where I don't have anything to do. We have a scrimmage this Thursday against ourselves. My first game isn't until right before Thanksgiving. Wish me sanity!

Happy Halloween!

Well, I'm 29. Finally...I hate having a birthday late in the year, but I know there are people who wait longer than I do! Yesterday, Becca bought me lunch at Olive Garden and then we went to the mall. We met Michelle at the mall, and then all three of us got more piercings in our ears (this was my present from B. He also let me get some popcorn when we were in Branson). I got one more each on the bottom and then one in my right cartilage. I now have 11 earrings. Last night we went out to eat with Michelle and Eric at Flat Branch. Yummm.... This morning we went to church and then ate at China Garden for lunch. This afternoon I read a little and was able to take a nap. Then we had small group. I just finished up a worksheet I had to prepare for class tomorrow and now am just chillin'. All in all a good birthday weekend! Thanks to Amy and The Esmon's for my cards!

We all went to my mom's this weekend. It may be the last time we go to Branson. Mom sold her house! My aunt and uncle were visiting my mom also. It was good to see them. I hadn't seen them in 10 years. B let me get some popcorn from The Big Popper for my birthday...yummmmm...:)

Mom and I went to the Powersite Dam Saturday evening. Mom had some of Dad's ashes left and wanted to put them in water where they used to fish.

Watching Bones right now. I started rereading the Twilight series. Currently on New Moon. I finally made the soup tonight. We made Tortilla Soup. We used a bell pepper, a chili pepper, garlic, chicken stock, corn, a can of diced tomatoes, chicken, and cheese. I seasoned it with salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, red chili flakes, and fajita seasoning. It was a success! Go me! (and B for helping!).
