Well, this weekend has been a mix of good and bad.
First the good:
Friday night I went to a sleepover at Michelle's with Becca, Brandy, and Lisa from work. We talked, ate some tacos, played Friends Scene-It, played Scattergories, played Rock Band, slept, ate bagels, and did some make-overs. Oh wait...I mean we had pillow fights and jumped up and down on the beds. :) It was fun and a nice way to unwind before school starts.
Now the bad:
Some of you are aware of this if you are friends with me on facebook. One of my students from this past year drowned yesterday. He was at the Missouri River. All I know so far is that he jumped in the river after an 8-year old fell in. The young boy resurfaced, but my student did not. He was under water for 4-6 minutes before being rescued. He was one of the students that made my horrible class worthwhile. Many will miss him. He would have been a sophomore next week. Please keep the Morris family in your prayers.
