I love my daughter! She is the world to me.

We had a very long day yesterday. For 3.5 years in college, Bethany, Dawn, and I lived together. Nowadays, Bethany and I live here in Columbia, MO, but Dawny lives in Seattle. :(

Dawn and David (her hubby, who we also went to school with) are on vacation with David's family. They are spending the week in Branson. Branson is 4 hours away which is soooo much closer than Seattle. Bethany and I decided to drive down for the day to see them. I thought I would take Alia too since they have never met her. The visit was wonderful. Dawn and David are expecting in October. Dawn, by the way, you looked great!

We spent the day at The Landing. We had dinner and lunch together, looked in a few stores, and sat and talked at the winery there. I don't feel like I said a lot, but my attention was on Alia a lot. It was still a great visit, and David and Bethany did a good job keeping the conversation going.

Now, I will describe poor Alia's day. We drive in the truck for 4 hours, get there and realize it is so stinking hot. Bleeding stinking hot. I made sure that she had plenty of water though. We didn't end up eating lunch 'til around 1:00. Which I had plenty of snacks for her so that wasn't a big deal. Then she doesn't get her nap. She stayed up the whole afternoon. She was fussy at times and didn't want to stay in her stroller, but she was a trooper. I tried to stay calm with her and be sympathetic. Even though she wasn't completely my perfect little angel yesterday, it makes me appreciate her, a lot more. And she is so sweet!
