Today, on my dad's birthday, I will answer a question about him. Many times when we were home, my dad would watch tv in the living room and then I would go watch what I wanted in the kitchen. I really enjoyed watching tv with my dad though. I would watch shows that I probably would never watch on my own, but it felt good to spend time with him. (Shows like Highlander, and this show I can't even remember the name of - it was The Sentinel, and Travel Channel).
I also liked watching movies with him. There was one day he sat down and watched Idle Hands and Urban Legend with me. That was pretty fun. And this leads to one of my favorite things about my dad. His comments. He always had the ability to make me laugh. We could watch the same movie over and over again and Dad would say the exact same thing at the exact same time every time. I can't watch Twister without hearing him yell "Debri" after a character says, "I think we've got debri."
Happy Birthday Dad! Miss you!
:)
