I'm starting a series on here in my boredom.
(Interesting) Things Around my House.
Part I: The Living Room
These are stakes that were a wedding present for B and I. In case someone doesn't know, I am a HUGE Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. Our friend Adam, was also a fan. He made these for us. And yes, they have even been blessed by a priest.
When we were on our honeymoon (the Chicago part of it), we went into a furniture store. B thinks it was Crate and Barrel, I think it was somewhere else that I can't remember the name of. Anyways, these bottles were all over the place in the displays. We asked how much they were and were told that they in fact were not for sale, but just for decoration. So, we went back to Searcy which is a dry county by the way. B finally found a bottle of Redrum (if you're slow, that's Murder spelled backwards) at one of the nearest liquor stores (which were both about 40 minutes away). It was kind of like a tropical flavored rum. I didn't like it very much, but it makes a cool decoration.
Our living room is littered with art. These two pieces are both B's. On the left is a photograph of like an old barn or something. On the right is I think a screen print. If you want a closer look, you'll just have to come to our house.
People are most often blown away by this. This is our main clock. B bought this for me for our 1 year anniversary. It runs backwards. This picture was taken at 6:47. I am so used to this clock that sometimes I can't read my clock at school in my classroom. Just another reason for me to wear a digital watch. :)
