For Alia's birthday, we bought tickets to Disney on Ice. We made a day of it in St Louis. In the morning, we went to the zoo. Then we went to the show. After, we stopped by Trader Joe's and had dinner at Red Robin. It was a looooong, but good day!

The summer of firsts. This summer I've visited many places I've never been and flew for the very first time. While we were visiting B's family, I spent a day in Chattanooga and a night in Atlanta. This week, I flew to San Antonio. On our return flight, we had a layover in Houston.

I was sent to a conference in San Antonio for a program called AVID at school. I went with 6 other lovely ladies and a bunch more people.

We spent this past week in Huntsville visiting B's family. For 2 days, I met up with Becca. We spent a day at the Tennessee Aquarium and then spent the night and a morning in Atlanta.

Color Run #2! My cousin April invited me along with her friend Erin to do The Color Run in St. Louis today. It was a good time. We walked it (April's pregnant) and it was fine. :) It rained/drizzles/misted almost the whole time. It was also my first time on a train. We took the MetroLink into the race instead of trying to figure out how to drive there. Last night we met April's brother at a Hibachi Grill. Thanks for the great time girls!

Yesterday, we made it to our first outdoors Farmer's Market of the year. It was nice to be outside again. They had a "Children's Corner" where kids could color. Alia did this while we waited for Bethany to show up.

Bethany brought her mom with her and of course, Little Miss Maya. This was also Maya's first outdoors Farmer's Market. I love having these experiences with our children.

Last year, I ran 2 5K's. One in May and one in September. For a long time, I had no motivation to do anything else. Sometime in January, I decided I needed a goal. Why? Because I'm crazy. :) I signed up for a 10K. It was this morning. My original goal was to run 6 miles in 72 min. The race is 6.2 miles. As I was having crappy runs and low motivation, my new goal was just to run it. I ran the whole time and finished in just under 75 minutes. It was a hilly course too. I'm proud of me. Who ever would have thought that I would be running 6 miles at a time. I didn't!!!!
